The irukandji box jellyfish near the shores of Australia somehow got caught in an unusual ocean current which started moving them in a long cross-oceanic journey. Three months later they appeared on the eastern shores of Florida in the US. Unsuspecting swimmers were getting stung. A number of them had died. The Gulf stream was threatening to become a catalyst in providing a migratory movement once again for the deadly creatures up the eastern seaboard. Scientists were racing against time and the creatures to prevent this from happening as well as preventing more injuries or deaths. It was not easy and they had to use the US Coast Guard to help them.
Through a tourist who heard the news and happened to be employed by a company that manufactured certain marine devices and equipment, he was able to obtain a particular device made in South Korea that could be used to eradicate the jellyfish. It would be very expensive and time consuming but it was the only way to get rid of the creatures. Time was not on their side and the creatures began slowly moving north.
