The POTUS must stop enemy seizure of a nuclear Minuteman ICBM. Elliott Sumner, world-renowned forensic sleuth, must solve a macabre international puzzle to avert a nuclear Armageddon.

Synopsis

Extreme safeguards fail. An unidentified invader—code name GRAY WOLF—takes over a U.S. missile silo. The terminal breach leaves the President of the United States with only one option. A nuclear strike on Minot, North Dakota will contain the threat of a rogue nuclear missile launch starting World War III. But one third of the country will be decimated and millions will die. If the POTUS cannot identify GRAY WOLF, there are no other options. Time is running out. Once launched a Minuteman III ICBM cannot be stopped. A grisly blood trail from Istanbul to London, and frozen corpses in Canada and North Dakota are linked to GRAY WOLF. World-renowned forensic sleuth Dr. Elliott Sumner may be the only one able to piece together the bizarre international puzzle and give the President a way to avert a nuclear Armageddon. Joined by a brilliant, retired Scotland Yard profiler and savvy homicide detective turned private investigator Elliott closes in on GRAY WOLF. Mind-boggling forensics and profound police work from the frozen Great Plains to simmering Florida peninsula lead Elliott to Beldon, North Dakota, a Lakota Indian elder, and a hidden cavern where GRAY WOLF has connected an atomic bomb to a thought-demolished U.S. launch control capsule. A plausible surrealistic end to the bone-chilling international crisis reveals radical Syrian jihadists on a mission. Their bizarre and unexplainable deaths and the defusing of their bomb push unanswered questions into Lakota legend and a world with more questions than answers. The terminal breach occurred on the seventh day of the seventh winter. The day when a legendary nomadic hunter roams the Great Plains to evict evil and protect descendants of peaceful men.
